It goes without saying that having another baby has left me with very little time to blog! Life has been flying by! We've gone on trips, had visitors, and finished half the school year! Here are some highlights of the past five months ...
OCTOBER
- Balloon Fiesta Visit from the Stoddards and Wilms! We loved our first visit from the Wilms! We packed in lots of fun on their visit, including a trip to Santa Fe and the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, a Bosque walk, a trip to the zoo, two trips to the Balloon Fiesta Park, lots of eating out, and a Halloween Party. My mom also hosted a very nice dinner and games. We really loved teaching them Canasta. It was a fun time!
- Tooth Implant: I finally got the post put into my jaw. Next step ... tooth!
- Sofia's Torticollis Diagnosis: Sofia was diagnosed with Torticollis. Basically, she has a twisted and tilted neck, probably due to being crowded in the womb. Her left neck muscles are underdeveloped, so we'll be working with a therapist to straighten her out!
- Kidney Stone: I woke up in the middle of the night on Halloween to Hannah throwing up. I cleaned up her bedding, then nursed the baby who had woken up due to the commotion in their room. While I was nursing Sofia, I suddenly started getting cramps. The cramps quickly progressed in intensity to the point where I couldn't stand and was breathing heavily. I awoke Sebastian, who put Hudson in charge of everyone (it was about 2 in the morning) and Seb rushed me to the Emergency Room. Turns out, I was passing my first kidney stone! It felt like labor pains that wouldn't quit! They gave me lots of morphine and I had a nice rest at the hospital.
