5/17 We walked to the park, picnicked, and founds some tadpoled

Ms. Kara and Ms. Lisa were so wonderful! During graduation, they told stories of Beau bringing interesting items for show-and-tell ... including a spider that got loose! The water bottle, BTW, is full of tadpoles!

5/22 We attended Tyler's end of the year play at the Family School

5/24 Starting off summer right with some bike riding!

5/25 Seb's parents came to town for Sofia's blessing. Had to stop by our old favorite - El Pinto!

5/26 This is the start to a power packed day! We started things off with a new experience: paddle boats at Tingley Beach.

And I never thought I'd have TWO gorgeous girls!!!

May was a busy month with school wrapping up and summer beginning! Not to mention having a new little one joining in on all the fun. We had the Dunlaps in town the last weekend in May for Sofia's baby blessing. It was a sweet blessing and I think it really captures her personality as well as the hopes we have for our beautiful baby girl. I will include the words to her blessing here:

“[Heavenly Father, by the authority of the Melchezidek] priesthood which we hold, we hold you in our arms and give you a name. And the name by which you shall be called on the rolls of the church and throughout this earthly life is Sofia Celestine Dunlap.

Sofia, at this time we give you a blessing. Sofia, we bless you that you will be virtuous. That you will have a virtuous heart and that you’ll love your Heavenly Father and you’ll love your family. We bless you with a keen intellect. We bless you with a strong and healthy body.

We bless you that in your own time, you will be given the opportunity to become a mother. We bless you that you’ll have humor and that you’ll have joy and satisfaction in your relationships with others. We bless you that predicated upon your righteousness, you will be able to go unto the house of the Lord and be married for time and all eternity.

Sofia, we bless you that you’ll have an appreciation for the blessings you are given in your life and that you’ll have humility and will search for opportunities to reach out to those around you and lift them up as they lift you up.  We bless you that you’ll do all that you can to follow Christ throughout your life and all your life after this.

We bless you that you’ll have an appreciation for your mother and that you’ll bring joy and gladness to everyone you meet. We bless you that you’ll understand how much your Heavenly Father loves you and how much your earthly father loves you and how much your earthly family loves you and that you’ll draw strength from that.
