Second Annual Dunlap Siblings Trip

We met up with Sebastian's siblings and their families in Branson, Missouri for our 2nd Annual Dunlap siblings reunion (we did the Ozarks last year). Our kids were champs on the car ride, and we made the entire trip in one day (thank you car TV!). The first night, we stayed at the same hotel as Noah and Laura and enjoyed a breakfast buffet and waterpark in the morning all onsite at the hotel. (BTW - Sofia slept sooo well that night on a pile of blankets on the floor. Ha ha!) We had lunch at a restaurant with a giant chicken out front. Later in the day, Sethrina's family arrived, and we watched a fountain show at an outdoor mall and had dinner at Salt Grass.

Branson is a fun city with so much to do: mini-golf, go-karts, and shows galore. It's like a miniature, family-friendly Las Vegas! We all stayed together in a beautiful 3-bedroom condo on the lake (Rockwood Condos). It had a beach entry pool and a balcony with pretty views.

We had breakfast one day at a cute diner and dinner on the Branson Belle Showboat. It was so much fun watching the show (with a magician, funny audience members, and talented singers) and eating on the boat. Another day, we rented a pontoon boat and spent most of the day on Table Rock Lake. The water was the perfect temperature. Everyone enjoyed swimming in the lake (trying not to float too far away!) and riding on the inner tube. Sethrina was an excellent boat captain. Laura is the mommy of our group - she went grocery shopping and provided the most delicious continental breakfast one day and a tasty hot breakfast on Father's Day. Hudson and Esther get along so well. Hannah loves her uncle Noah as if he were her daddy - it's cute how she holds his hand and falls asleep on him. Laura brought Hannah a box of clothes, and Hannah wore her new princess dresses out and about each day.

We drove to Dallas from Branson (the longest trip ever due to a gazillion roadside potty breaks!) and stayed one night with the Stoddard's on the way to my brother Sam's home in San Antonio. It was so generous of them to host us and make us dinner that night! They also gave us a "Food Tour" that made our short trip to San Antonio fun. We stopped at all of their favorite places sampling real Texas BBQ, kolaches, and Round Rock doughnuts. Mmm!

San Antonio Fun with the Hobbs Family

My brother and his wife recently purchased their first home in San Antonio where he is an Ophthalmology resident with the Air Force. They have two cute boys and and were expecting their first daughter at the time of our visit. It was so fun to see Kiley pregnant and to stay in their home! That was the first time staying with their family and I LOVED the one-on-one chats and time to get to know them and their sweet family better. I LOVED talking with cute Joey - he has really blossomed since seeing him last and spoke so well ... all about sharks! He is loving, genuine, tender, and so dang adorable! Eli and Hannah really hit it off and had a great time playing upstairs in Sam and Kiley's closet. I had fun helping my mom prepare for Kiley's baby shower (grocery shopping, making rice krispy treats, making the soda bar sign), playing games at night before bed, and singing with Sam on his guitar!

We bought a 5-day Sea World pass and spent most of our daylight hours walking the park! We did kiddie rides, Hudson couldn't get enough of the roller coasters with Uncle Sam, we watched shows, we did the water park ... is was exhausting but fun! Kiley is the sweetest little mama and their family is darling. I can't wait to meet my sweet new niece Eden, who was born July 28th.

Fun at Karen's Ranch

Sebastian's secretary Karen has a home in the East mountains with goats, dogs, and horses! She invited us out one Saturday morning to ride her horses. It was so much fun! The boys (especially Beau) loved playing with the dogs, riding the horses was an exhilarating experience, and Karen made us a delicious hamburger lunch! The entire day was such a treat!
