I love having a two-year-old. It's the best. Hudson has really blossomed into a funny, happy kid. He loves to tell us about his day, the funny things he notices, and always tries to make us laugh. He loves bopping his head to "good music" and doesn't hesitate to tell me to change the radio station if it's not to his liking! He still enjoys playing with cars and watching movies, but his new favorite hobby is killing squash bugs with Grandpa. He loves to be outside, he loves to play with friends, and he really enjoys watercolors. 

We celebrated Hudson's birthday in a very low-key way. He woke up to a living room full of balloons and presents, and we had waffles for breakfast. We spent the day playing at home (and I cleaned his room!). That evening, we had some homemade chocolate cake and teriyaki meatballs and watched one of his new birthday movies, Monster's Inc. My parents and siblings threw an impromptu party for Hudson at a Chinese buffet later in the week, showering him with fun gifts. How nice! 

At two years old, Hudson is a beast. I took him for his two-year-old appointment this past week and here are his stats:

• Height: 38 inches (100th percentile)
• Weight: 31 lbs (82nd percentile)

The doctor said he's about the size of a 3-year-and-2-month-old. Woo baby! I did a little height calculator test online that can a predict a toddler's height at age 18, and it said that he will be 6'6". Whoa! It's 90% accurate with a 2" margin of error in both directions. That means he will most likely be somewhere between 6'4" and 6'8".
