Beau's Officially in Nursery!

Oh my word! I can't believe my baby Beau's already in nursery! He turned 1 1/2 about the same time Hudson turned 4. We really prepped him for nursery (since Hudson had such a hard adjustment) by sitting in there with him for a couple months beforehand. When his actual first day of nursery arrived, he never looked back! He goes in happily and plays his heart out. He loves the other children, the singing, learning about Jesus, snack time, and all the structure. It's been great for our little Beau. THat first Sunday, I peeked through the window to watch the lesson. Beau just sat there on his little chair fully engaged and excited about the lesson. The teach was holding up a picture, asking who was in the image. Beau pointed and shouted out "JESUS!" The teacher was delighted by his joyful response! :)

Beau has been an absolute joy to our family. He is the happiest, easiest, carefree, spunky child! I love everything about that little man. Beau's got a little swagger in his walk and he's got the most fun sense of humor. I remember when he was just a baby he would play peek-a-boo with the curtains that hung near the head of our bed. He's been playful like that from the beginning. These days, he likes to hide things (his favorite spot is to put things in his glass of milk while we're eating) and say with a perplexed look: "Go?? Hmmm." Then he smirks and shows you the hidden object.

Beau is a good communicator. He has lots of words and adds extra meaning with his little "hmm's," "mmm's," and eyebrow furrowing. One of my favorite phrases happens when he thinks he pooped then realizes it was just some gas. He'll get a serious look on his face, as if to say 'Oh - that's not poop ..." then he actually says "fart." Some other words he says include: hi, nursery, friends, Jesus, monster, apple (for banana), go, socks, shoes, garage, bye, witch, Lego, hot, grandma, grandpa (sounds like "bompa"), daddy, Hudson (sounds like "Hunuh"), and room (for playroom). When he gets into the hot car, he'll immediately point to the vents and say "fan!"

Beau's favorite people in the world are first his Daddy and then his Grandma and Grandpa. He would rather be with those three that doing anything else. Sometimes when I go to pick him up from his crib in the morning, his immediate greeting to me is "Daddy? Work? Miss." And all day long he'll say "Daddy ... miss" with the most sad and longing tone in his voice. When Seb comes home it's his most exciting part of the day!

This is what a typical day looks like for the Beau man:

- Wakeup and play with Hudson while Mom and Dad sleep.
- Read a few books.
- Eat breakfast while watching cartoons.
- Get dressed and ready for the day.
- Do a fun activity with Mom and brother (a walk, coloring books, playing with toys)
- Lunch.
- Take Hudson to school.
- Nap from 1:00pm-3:15pm.
- Snack.
- Errands or playtime.
- Dinner.
- Bathtime, stories, scriptures & bed!

A little mischief in his eyes!

Cute little smirk

Typical attempt to take a cute pic of the boys - I get weird lips and spit

Yeah - not happening

Then Beau tries to escape

At least Hudson's pretty cooperative!

My sweet 4-year-old!

Cute!

Okay - he's had enough!

What sweet little men!

Beau on his first day of nursery!
And just for fun - Beau on HIS first day of nursery 2 years ago!

Uh, I think you meant "Hudson, on his first day of nursery." Hudson and Beau have their own unique look, but both boys are beautiful! I loved all the cute pictures!!
