Our little Hannah Banana, Cutie Wootie, Baby Waybie turned ONE today! Hannah's been a delightful addition to the family - we sure love our little girl. It's been so fun decorating with pink, brushing her hair and putting in bows and barrettes, dressing her up for Sunday, playing with baby dolls, and imagining the years of fun we are going to have as she grows up! 

Hannah is very spunky, feisty, and expressive. She is quick to show her emotions ... she throws her head back in frustration, she buries her face when she's feeling shy, and she's got a smile that lights up the room! She's very affectionate and will often come up and give me hug and kiss by leaning her face into mine and nuzzling. She'll pat her brothers on the head or back and nuzzle them as well. She finds her brothers highly entertaining. She adores Hudson - he makes her laugh the most. She craves his attention and eats it up when he's paying attention to her. She and Beau, on the other hand, have a bit of a love-hate relationship! Ha ha! There's definitely a little more jealously between the two of them and I have had to stop both of them from hitting each other! She is definitely a hitter - when her cousin Calvin was in town, we had to keep an eye on the stinker because she would wait until we weren't looking and hit him on the head! 

Hannah is all girl. I love the way her feet move - she uses them to express her feelings. When she's excited, she kicks wildly. And her toes are always pointed and dainty. Hannah LOVES baby dolls and cradles them like a real baby. She'll feed them their bottles and give them bites of her crackers. She'll pick them up to hug them, then discard them over her shoulder when she thinks of something else to do. 

Here's a little more about our Hannah girl:

• Favorite foods: Mommy's milk (rough with her SEVEN teeth!), spaghetti and meatballs, bananas, homemade granola chocolate chip granola bars
• First words: Mama, Dada, bye, hi, baby, kitty, night night
• Favorite things: crocheted blankets (she'll snuggle into one to fall asleep), Grandma's talking babydoll (she loves on it and likes to hold it in bed), her white teddy bear, Beau's brown teddy bear, kitty cats
• Favorite activities: Being outside, playing together on the floor, not reading (she always gets mad when I turn the pages and ends up throwing it), taking a bath, rolling around on my bed when she's tired
• Spends her time: Scooting around from room to room (she doesn't crawl or stand yet - wondering if she might have tightness in her ankles). She spends lots of time in her highchair eating snacks while Mommy is cooking or doing dishes. She and Beau like to sit in my shower when I'm taking one. If I play music or sing a song, she'll rock back and forth to the beat. We do lots of playdates, shopping trips, and visits to the park and library. 
• Sleeping habits: Nurses to fall asleep. Usually in her crib between 7:30 and 8:00pm. She sleeps until 6:45am with no wake ups! It's wonderful! Her naps are spotty, though. Sometimes she'll nap all morning (9am-11:30am) and also take an afternoon nap (3ish - 5ish). But sometimes she'll just do one or the other. 
• Funny habits: She likes doing things by herself and when I don't let her, she'll try to take what I have (like her cup or spoon) and throw it on the ground in crazy baby rage! When she's done eating, she'll put her hand up toward me and and wave it in front of her face. If she stuck up her pointer finger and shook her head, she'd look like baby Beyonce!
